August 03, 2026: India’s First Global Multicast News Hub – Live Times, in keeping with its unwavering commitment to truthful, factual and public-interest journalism, recently interviewed Member of Parliament Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav. During the interaction, News Director Deepak Chaurasia sought the MP’s response to questions concerning his recent conduct within the Parliament complex and other issues that had already entered the public domain.

The interview followed a widely reported controversy arising from an incident in the Parliament complex, where MP Pappu Yadav, dressed in saffron attire, staged a protest while making allegations concerning offerings made at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya. The episode generated significant public, political and media debate, making it a matter of legitimate public interest and journalistic scrutiny.

Following the interview, MP Pappu Yadav served legal notice upon Deepak Chaurasia. Live times views this action as an attempt to intimidation the press

Live Times also believes that asking questions of elected representatives on matters of public interest is not merely a journalistic right but a constitutional responsibility. In a vibrant democracy, journalists are entrusted with seeking answers on behalf of citizens and holding those in public office accountable through fair, factual and responsible reporting.

The Live Times firmly says that no legal threats or any attempt of intimidation will deter our journalists from discharging their professional responsibilities with fairness, accuracy and integrity. Live Times remains unwavering in its commitment to editorial independence, the highest standards of journalistic ethics, and the public’s right to know, and will continue to pursue truthful, fact-based journalism without fear or favour.

“The strength of a democracy is measured not by the comfort of those in public office, but by the freedom with which questions can be asked. Journalism is not meant to flatter authority; it exists to inform citizens, seek accountability, and serve the larger public interest.

At Live Times, our editorial philosophy has always been unequivocal—Facts over Sensationalism and Truth over TRP. Every question asked by our journalists is guided by these principles and by our unwavering commitment to factual, fair and responsible journalism.

We hold a solemn responsibility towards our viewers to present the truth with accuracy, integrity and independence, and to seek answers from those entrusted with public office, irrespective of their position or political affiliation. In the discharge of this responsibility, our journalists routinely ask questions based on information already available in the public domain, including public statements, official records and other verifiable sources. Such journalistic inquiry lies at the very heart of a healthy democracy.”

— Dilip Singh Founder & Editor-in-Chief Live Times

“Throughout my career spanning several decades, I have never shied away from asking difficult but necessary questions in the public interest, and I have no intention of doing so now. Every question I asked was based on information available in the public domain, including official records and verifiable facts. Seeking answers from elected representatives on matters of legitimate public concern is a fundamental responsibility of journalism and an essential pillar of a healthy democracy.

No legal notice or attempt to discourage legitimate journalistic inquiry will deter us from reporting facts, asking fair questions, and pursuing the truth in the larger public interest.”

— Deepak Chaurasia, Director – News, Live Times
