Investments to boost AI compute, IP assets, immersive content technologies, and India’s first sovereign cultural AI stack
New Delhi, November 25 2025 – Eros Innovation announces the completion of USD 150 million in capital and strategic transactions, further strengthening its position as a USD 2-billion valued, zero-debt, AI-driven global media and entertainment platform.
The expansion includes a USD 50 million primary investment, led by Plenitude Capital, advised by Greenback Capital at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), and approximately USD 100 million in content and technology acquisitions. The new capital will accelerate the company’s investments in AI compute infrastructure, immersive content formats, and large-scale creative technologies.

A central pillar of this growth is Eros GenAI, a proprietary multimodal AI foundation model developed with IIT Chennai and trained on 1.5 trillion cinematic, cultural, musical and behavioural tokens. Positioned as India’s first sovereign cultural AI stack, Eros GenAI will serve as the intelligence layer across Eros Innovation’s global verticals, powering creator tools, video generation, automated dubbing, generative music, and AI-native characters for live, virtual and interactive experiences.
As part of its strategic expansion, Eros Innovation has acquired 100% of Empirical Wax, a London-based immersive entertainment studio specialising in real-time AI music, virtual stages, avatar performances, and mixed-reality environments. The company has also completed the acquisition of a USD 97 million IP portfolio, adding high-value films, music, and multilingual digital assets to its content ecosystem.
Eros Innovation today operates one of the world’s broadest entertainment-focused creative infrastructures, comprising 80 million+ subscribers, 12,000+ film titles, 100,000+ AI-ready characters, and a global fan base of over 2 billion. These assets will support the rollout of the forthcoming Eros Universe Super App, a creator-economy platform integrating AI tools, tokenised content, and immersive storytelling into a unified global interface.
