New Delhi, January 21, 2026: Mankind Pharma Limited, under its flagship CSR platform KindCare, today inaugurated Digital Smart Classrooms in Ghaziabad, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening technology-enabled education in government schools. The initiative was launched in partnership with SEEDS Impact and inaugurated by Sunil Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in the presence of Sheetal Arora, Chief Executive Officer, Mankind Pharma Limited.

The launch marks a key milestone in Mankind Pharma’s Digital Smart Classroom Initiative, which focuses on improving access to quality education through interactive, technology-driven learning environments in government schools. By prioritising district-level implementation, the initiative reflects a community-first approach aimed at creating meaningful and measurable impact at the grassroots.

As part of the broader programme, 400 Schools in Uttar Pradesh have been targeted, where 460 classrooms are already operational, benefiting thousands of students by enabling curriculum-aligned digital learning. The classrooms leverage tools such as the K-Yan device to deliver audio-visual instruction, enhancing student engagement and comprehension, particularly in schools with limited physical infrastructure.

Beyond infrastructure, the initiative places strong emphasis on teacher empowerment as a driver of sustainable change. To date, more than 2400 teachers have undergone structured training programmes designed to build confidence and capability in integrating digital tools into everyday teaching. These programmes combine hands-on learning, classroom simulations, and ongoing support through helplines and digital communities to ensure consistent and effective adoption.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said, “Mankind Pharma deserves recognition for its commitment to strengthening education in underserved communities through the Digital Smart Classroom Initiative. By enabling technology-led learning in government schools, the initiative addresses critical gaps in access and quality at a time when digital literacy is essential for future opportunity. Its community-first approach, with a strong focus on empowering teachers and strengthening local school ecosystems, ensures that the benefits are sustainable and reach those who need them most.

Sheetal Arora, Promoter & CEO, Mankind Pharma Limited, said, “Education has the power to shape not just individual futures but the destiny of communities. Through KindCare, our CSR platform, we have consciously taken a community-first approach, focusing on areas where access to quality education remains a challenge. The Digital Smart Classroom Initiative is rooted in empathy and responsibility, recognising that true progress begins when students and teachers are given the right tools, confidence, and support to succeed. This initiative is not about technology alone; it is about dignity, opportunity, and ensuring that children in remote and underserved regions are not left behind in an increasingly digital world.”

The initiative undertaken by Mankind Pharma under its CSR to establish digital classrooms in government schools reflects its strong commitment to society and to nurturing India’s demographic dividend, i.e., our youth. The provision of digital classes will greatly support students in understanding concepts and complex topics more effectively. SEEDS Impact sincerely thanks the management of Mankind for providing us the opportunity to contribute to this noble cause and acknowledges the Government of U.P. for their support in making this initiative a successful reality. We believe the unwavering commitment from Mankind and the Government can create pathways for further scale-up to ensure the benefits of technology reach maximum students, said Mr R. Purushotham, CEO, SEEDS Impact

The Digital Smart Classroom Initiative is a core pillar of KindCare, Mankind Pharma’s comprehensive CSR framework focused on Health and Hygiene, Education, Environment, and Livelihood Development. Under KindCare, the company works closely with credible on-ground partners to improve healthcare access, promote health awareness, strengthen education infrastructure, and support livelihood development across underserved communities.

Through sustained investment, strong partnerships, and a focus on measurable outcomes, Mankind Pharma continues to align its CSR efforts with national development priorities while addressing local community needs.
