Founded in 2015 by visionary architect Farah Haddad, Farah Architects has swiftly grown into one of the region’s most respected architectural and consulting engineering firms. Based in Amman, Jordan, the firm is renowned for its thoughtful approach to design and its commitment to creating spaces that balance functionality with emotion.
Farah always wanted to build a practice that truly listens; one that transforms each client’s vision into a space that is both unique and timeless. Her inspiration stemmed from a deep belief that design has the power to enrich daily life, respect local context, and push creative boundaries.
“From a young age, I was fascinated by how spaces influence emotions and behavior,” Farah remembers. “Architecture, to me, is about storytelling — it’s a dialogue between people, nature, and built form. What drives my passion is the transformative power of design — the ability to shape environments that foster connection, comfort, and inspiration. Knowing that a design can enhance someone’s quality of life is what fuels my creativity every day.”
The Differentiating Factor
What sets Farah Architects apart is its deeply personal and client-centered approach. Each project starts with a comprehensive consultation to understand the client’s aspirations, values, and way of life. From there, the team tailors its design process to align with the client’s lifestyle and goals while maintaining constant communication and flexibility. This philosophy, coupled with a steadfast commitment to sustainability, the use of local materials, and meticulous attention to detail, ensures every creation truly reflects the client’s identity and functional needs.
“We remain ahead by embracing continuous learning and innovation. Our team regularly researches emerging technologies, sustainable materials, and evolving user needs,” Farah explains. “We also stay attuned to global trends around us while staying grounded in our local realities. Adaptability has been key to our success — we evolve our design methods while remaining true to our core values of functionality, beauty, and sustainability.”
Managing Challenging Projects
One of the most rewarding challenges Farah and her team took was a large waterfront promenade that reimagined the city’s relationship with the sea. The vision was to transform the coastline into a lively public realm while balancing creativity with sensitivity, opening the space to people, preserving uninterrupted views, and celebrating local culture. The design drew from traditional forms reinterpreted in a modern, fluid expression that blends seamlessly with the horizon, creating a destination that embodies both heritage and progress.
Another defining challenge was a hotel project that required a thoughtful fusion of culture, innovation, and modernity. The final goal was to redefine corporate hospitality, crafting an environment that feels authentic, functional, and forward-looking. Every detail was carefully designed to provide an exceptional user experience and comfort.
Lastly, a sustainability-driven bank project pushed the team to merge technical precision with aesthetic clarity. The goal was to achieve both international LEED and local Jordanian green building certifications while designing a space that fosters transparency, connection, and trust. It proved that sustainability and beauty can coexist when design, performance, and purpose align seamlessly.
“Through these experiences, I’ve learned that managing large-scale projects is about vision and precision; orchestrating countless details while never losing sight of the greater purpose,” Farah remembers.
Milestones Along the Way
“I’m incredibly proud of how Farah Architects has evolved into a reputable and innovative firm in less than a decade,” Farah shares. “Looking back at the diverse range of projects we’ve successfully delivered — from banks, workspaces, and corporate headquarters to residential and commercial buildings, airports, hospitality chalets, and hotels — each one represents a unique journey of creativity, collaboration, and dedication.”
Farah Architects takes great pride in ensuring that every design, irrespective of its scale or typology, is executed with the highest standards of quality and care. For the team, any project that evolves from an initial concept into a fully realized space is an achievement to be proud of.
“What we truly consider a milestone,” Farah adds, “is when our clients return to us for new projects or recommend us to others. That loyalty and trust — when a client chooses to develop another branch, expansion, or venture with us — is the greatest validation of our work. It reflects the enduring relationships we build through consistency, quality, and genuine commitment to their vision.”
An Ever-Evolving Industry
With over three decades of experience in the architecture and interior industry, Farah has witnessed the industry evolve way beyond creating buildings. Presently, it is all about shaping experiences that inspire, connect, and endure. She feels the focus has now shifted from form alone to spaces that respond to people, their needs, and the environment. Every project now calls for intentional design; balancing beauty, functionality, and sustainability while creating a meaningful impact on those who inhabit it.
At the same time, architects are now harnessing new technologies, modern design approaches, and a forward-looking vision, including tools like AI, parametric modeling, and innovative materials. These advancements allow them to translate bold ideas into reality, blending contemporary architecture with futuristic concepts.
“The most exciting transformation I see is the integration of creativity, technology, and responsibility, challenging us to design spaces that are not only striking and functional but also timeless and deeply connected to the world around us,”– she explains.
Shaping the Future of Architecture
Farah observes that the Middle East is undergoing a remarkable transformation, one that embraces sustainability, technology, and cultural reinterpretation. She notes a growing demand for smart buildings, adaptive reuse, and biophilic design, where nature is integrated into urban settings. At the same time, there’s also a beautiful trend toward redefining identity through architecture, blending modern innovation with regional heritage.
These trends align perfectly with Farah Architect’s philosophy of creating contemporary yet contextually grounded spaces, which maintains a fine balance between progress and preservation, while reflecting the true spirit of modern Middle Eastern architecture.
Picture of the Future
Looking ahead, Farah Architects envisions a future of continuous growth by expanding both regionally and internationally while maintaining the same level of personal attention and quality that defines the brand. The firm aims to lead in sustainable innovation, integrating new technologies and materials that enhance both environmental and human well-being.
“The future of Farah Architects lies in continuously pushing boundaries,” Farah shares. “We want to create spaces that inspire, connect, and contribute positively to communities. Our goal is to remain a trusted partner to our clients while shaping the next generation of responsible, meaningful, and impactful architecture.”
